Yamal and LUKOIL. Priority social projects of cooperation

The government of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and the company LUKOIL signed the additional agreement on cooperation for 2020. It defines priority activities in the sphere of socioeconomic development of the region.

LUKOIL will support the charitable foundation “Yamine” and public organizations, as the press-service of the head of Yamal reports. The company will contribute to implementation of cultural, ecological, educational projects, development of sports, use of ultra-light aircraft in economic sectors, scientific and practical research in the region. Obdorsk gymnasium (upper secondary school) in Salekhard will organize specialized education of schoolchildren in “LUKOIL-class” (https://sever-press.ru/2020/02/12/the-first-specialized-class-of-lukoil-in-yamal-will-be-opened-in-salekhard/), and a Sunday school will be built in Tarko-Salye. In addition, with support from the company the cultural and business center of Yamal will stage a musical performance with participation of the professional ethnic ensembles “Syra Sev” and “Seetey Yamal”.

In December 2019 the governor of Yamal Dmitry Artyukhov and the president of LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov signed the agreement on cooperation for 2020-2024. According to the document, the company will support implementation of sports events, projects in the sphere of culture and art, ecology, contribute to strategic development of the region and strengthen its economic stability.
