Yamal elaborated a new tour with accommodation in a choum

The tourist and informational center of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug elaborated the attractive package tour. It includes visiting of the nomadic camp, the excursion program with accommodation in a choum. The ethnographic tour is presented as the safest, without extreme. Its program is counted for different targeted audience.

As it is said in the informational center, earlier all tours in the region were individual, this year it is decided to start up the tour, which will go on the flow and also for other operators. Last year on the first congress of representatives of tourist industry in Yamal the specialists elaborated “The map of the future of tourist activity in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug”. It includes forming of attractive package suggestions for municipalities, including flight, transfer, excursions, accessible nutrition and accommodation. According to the director of the department of youth policy and tourism of Yamal Elvira Timergazina, tourism in Yamal exists, but it needs to fulfill additional work in order the region would suggest a new exotic tourist product. (The note: “a choum” or “a choom” is a dwelling of nomads, reindeer herders, a northern cone-shaped tent made of long poles and covered with reindeer hides; it is similar to a tepee).
