Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and “LUKOIL-Western Siberia” discussed spheres of cooperation

In Salekhard the governor of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Dmitry Artyukhov conducted the working meeting with the Vice-President of LUKOIL, the director general of “LUKOIL-Western Siberia” Sergey Kochkurov. The first deputy head of the region Aleksey Sitnikov also participated in it. They discussed promising cooperation in the sphere of social, economic and strategic projects aimed at development of the arctic region.

Within existing agreement on cooperation LUKOIL assists in socioeconomic development of municipalities of the region. In particular, this work is aimed at support of the ecological volunteer project “The future of the Arctic”, the charitable fund “Yamine” in organizing of medical treatment and rehabilitation of seriously ill children, the fund on assistance to development of Shuryshkarskiy district and other public organizations. A universal sports complex with a swimming pool in Tazovskiy will be built with support of the company. Also LUKOIL is actively involved in development of agro-industrial complex, regional light and ultra-light aviation and various sports disciplines.

In Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug the company develops Nakhodkinskoye gas field and unique Pyakyakhinskoye oil, gas, condensate field - one of the richest in the Arctic zone of Russia. The field was input to operation in 2016. The South-Messoyakhskoye field is being actively developed, in the near future it is planned to develop Khalmerpayutinskoye and Salekapskoye fields. Interpretation of the data obtained during seismic surveys on the license area Vareyskiy is being conducted. When developing the arctic region, the company introduces advanced nature-protecting technologies and modern equipment. According to the press service of the head of Yamal, input of the new extractive fields to operation will contribute to economic development of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
