Young inhabitants of Kutopyugan won sixteen diplomas of the international contest

The International contest-festival of folk and folklore art "Malachite Box" took place in Saint-Petersburg. More than 70 creative collectives from Russia and near foreign countries participated in it. Yamal was represented by ensembles and soloists from Noviy Urengoy, Nadym district and the settlement Kharp.

By the information given to a correspondent of IA "Sever-Press" in the department of education of Nadym district, the folkloristic collective "Severniye Notki" (Northern musical notes) from the national settlement Kutopyugan participated in several nominations: in theatrical creative work, folk singing, decorative and applied art and folklore. The children from the remote settlement of Yamal showed the Nenets ritual of the Sun welcoming "Yedey po khayer", read the tale about the girl Sikhirti and sang several songs. Besides, they presented more than 20 works made in the technique of beads weaving, items made of fur, panel pictures and drawings. The young people from Kutopyugan won 16 diplomas of the first, second and third degrees of the international contest and also took the worthy place in the portfolio.
