Young residents of Gubkinskiy will represent Yamal at the championship in robotics

Students of the station of technical creativity of the town Gubkinskiy competed in three nominations and took three prize places at the fifth regional festival “RoboFest” in Noyabrsk. The young engineers took the second place and were recommended to participation in the championship of Russia in robotics. From the 13th to the 15th of February 4 young residents of Gubkinskiy are going to Krasnoyarsk, where 1200 participants from the whole country will gather.

The team “Pokoleniye Next” (Generation Next) enthusiastically designs “the plant of the future”, the designers are constantly changing and supplementing its appearance. They keep under control the state of mechanisms: how sensors work, how fast a motor rotates, whether wheels are fastened securely – it will influence on whether the structure works harmoniously. No less important is the program code, because while robots do not have artificial intelligence, they follow precisely written algorithms, as the TV and radio company “Vector” reports. The students of the station of technical creativity of the town Gubkinskiy Konstantin Barantsev and Maksim Redko together are making the smart home project.

“Now children of our station are preparing for the competition in Krasnoyarsk, where they will defend our region. Of course, they want to win, they have great aspirations and hopes. They are supported by their parents, and we all support them”, said Yelena Filitsina, a teacher of additional education at the station of technical creativity.

Not only teachers worry about the children, but also parents, who share the interests of the young engineers.
