Alexander Mazharov: Conditions for support of export are being created in Yamal

The sitting of the council on economic policy at the plenipotentiary of the President of Russia in Ural Federal Okrug took place in Yekaterinburg. It was conducted by the deputy plenipotentiary Alexander Moiseyev.

Representatives of the Ministry for economic development of Russia, the Ural commercial and industrial chamber and bodies of the power in regions of Ural Federal Okrug participated in the sitting by means of videoconference.

A deputy governor, the director of the department of international and external economic relations Alexander Mazharov told about measures taken by the government of Yamal for support of export. As he informs, the project of building of the plant "Yamal LNG" is being fulfilled on the Yamal peninsula. Delivery of liquefied gas and other goods through the port of Sabetta will allow increasing considerably export potential of the region. The sea port will become the key element of transport infrastructure of the country. The foundation for development of extractive fields of Yamal and the Gulf of Ob is being made here. Also Sabetta will provide year-round navigation on the Northern Sea Route, and, as a result, export of goods from other regions, as a deputy governor of the region underlines. The amount of investments, including foreign ones, being attracted to the region is an important component of support of export-orientated enterprises. By the results of the bidding campaign of this year, organizations fulfilling priority projects on the territory of the region should attract 986 milliard rubles of investments. 6 companies were included into the renewed list. Among them there are: the company "Tyumenneftegaz" (Rosneft) with the project of development of Russkoye field on the sum in 435 milliard rubles and the company "Rospan International", which is busy with development of Vostochno-Urengoyskoye and Novo-Urengoyskoye licensed areas. The amount of the project makes 319 milliard rubles. Besides, active work on creation of transport infrastructure necessary for providing of integrated economic and territorial development of the region is conducted in Yamal, in particular, the project "The Northern Latitudinal Route". Its basis includes building of the railroad line Obskaya – Salekhard – Nadym – Pangody – Noviy Urengoy – Korotchayevo with the total length 707 kilometers. Having connected the Northern railroad line in the district of the station Obskaya with the Sverdlovsk railroad line in the district of the station Korotchayevo, the shortest way for delivery of goods necessary for development of gas condensate and oil fields and also their delivery for export will be provided. The participants of the project are: "Yamal Railway Company", "The Corporation of Development", "The Russian Railways", "Gazprom", the government of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, the Federal agency of railroad transport. The project is fulfilled within the federal targeted program "Development of transport system of Russia for 2010-2015". Alexander Mazharov considers that now all conditions are being made in the region for effective work both for participants of external economic activity and international activity. The regional center for development of external relations organizes work of the internet-portal for support of export-orientated enterprises, and assistance to manufacturers of goods of Yamal in advancement of goods (kinds of work, services) to domestic and foreign markets is rendered. Export deliveries of reindeer meat can serve an example of long-term and stable partnership. Starting with 2008, the enterprise "Yamalskiye Oleni" (Yamal Reindeer) sent more than 2000 tons of meat to countries of the EU. This year the amount of sales made 475 tons. Besides, the Japanese market of food products was analyzed by the agreement with the Ministry for economic development. The passport of the project on export of reindeer meat to Switzerland, China, South Korea, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Canada and countries of the CIS was elaborated and sent for approval to the Ministry for economic development. Markets of organic products for possible inculcation of projects on export of wild herbs and plants from Yamal were researched for development of cooperation with countries of the Asian-Pacific region, as the press-service of the governor of Yamal informs.
