Within the project “The All-Russian School Chronicle” schoolchildren from Yamal wrote books about their life. The publications will be stored in the Russian State Children’s Library in Moscow.

During the school year the students together with their teacher collected materials for their book: they wrote texts, took pictures and made drawings for the future art-work and chose the title and themes. As a result, the book includes literary essays and photos from personal albums of the schoolchildren, screenshots of SMS messages and even entries in diaries.

The participants of the project “The All-Russian School Chronicle” will receive the book created according to all publishing canons absolutely free of charge. One copy will be stored in the library of the school, where the children study, as the press service of the governor of Yamal informs. These are libraries of schools in the towns Labytnangi (No.3), Noviy Urengoy (No.9) and the boarding school of the settlement Salemal. Electronic versions of the publications will be sent to the Russian State Children’s Library and the Russian Book Chamber. The book written by the schoolchildren will become part of the country’s cultural heritage.

Now the library of “The All-Russian School Chronicle” has more than a thousand books written by young authors. During two years of the project’s existence about 400 thousand schoolchildren from 84 regions of Russia participated in it.

The project “The All-Russian School Chronicle” is supported with the grant of President of the Russian Federation for development of the civil society provided by the Presidential Grants Foundation.
