Czechia plans to finance not only the thermal power station "Polyarnaya" but partially the Northern Latitudinal Route

Development of big energy in Yamal is fulfilled exclusively at the expenses of private investments.

This information was given by the director of the department on tariff policy, energy, housing and communal complex of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Mikhail Gilyov in Salekhard to journalists.

According to his words, the government of Yamal plans to give state guarantees for fulfillment of the commercial project on building of the thermal power station "Polyarnaya". Czech Export Bank became one of the basic creditors on building of the power station. As the director of the department underlines, the governor of the region set the task – to provide attracting of investments to the region and to set long-term partner relations with investors. Now, when the sanctions were imposed against Russia, the Czech partners do not delay their plans but even increase their activity. And the task of the region is to create favorable conditions for business, which would invest funds to fulfillment of projects strategically important for the region, including formation of reliable energy system. According to the words of Mikhail Gilyov, the region scrutinizes available instruments for the guarantee – these are opportunities of tax cuts within input of the object to operation and return of credits to investors – before input. Czech Export Bank confirms that it is ready to continue financing, in spite of situation with a ruble exchange rate and restrictions in external trade. Czechia is one of the countries of the EU, which did not join to the sanctions, and it is important to keep normal good-neighbor relations with it. Czechia declares that it is ready to finance not only the thermal power station "Polyarnaya" but partially to provide the Northern Latitudinal Route with money and transport infrastructure. Mikhail Gilyov expresses hope that soon it will be possible to confirm the guarantees for next three years. As we should remind, building of the thermal power station "Polyarnaya" was started in Salekhard in 2012. Input of the first starting complex to operation is planned for the beginning of 2016. Owing to its location, the power station is called to become a key link in development of energy system of the region.
