Extraction of oil, gas and condensate will be increased in Yamal by 2020

In Salekhard within the first plenary session of the international conference "Yamal Oil and Gas" the director of the department of natural-resource regulation, forestry relations and development of oil and gas complex of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Yulia Chebotaryova presented the report about development of fuel and energy complex of the autonomous region.

As she reminds, Bovanenkovo, Tambey and Novy Port centers of oil and gas extraction situated on the Yamal peninsula and also Messoyakha – in the north-east and Kamennomysskoye – on water areas of the Gulf of Ob are developed now on the territory of the region. According to her words, forming of Bovanenkovo center of gas extraction with total reserves more than 15 trillion cubic meters by the company "Gazprom" is a starting point in development of colossal gas resources of the Arctic. Another project of "Gazprom Neft" on the Yamal peninsula is orientated to creation of Novy Port center of oil extraction. The expected level of extraction of liquid hydrocarbons after completion of the whole cycle of development till 2020 is evaluated in the amount 8 or 9 million tons. Active work on development of shelf fields of the Gulf of Ob takes place. Already in these 10 years Kamennomysskoye center of gas extraction will be created on resource base of the field with the same name and total gas reserves more than 1 trillion cubic meters. As Yulia Chebotaryova notes, the systemic approach to development of oil and gas complex being fulfilled now allows providing enough dynamic and effective development of hydrocarbon potential of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. The forecasted trend of growth in extraction of basic hydrocarbons already in the medium-term prospect confirms this. By 2020 gas extraction will be increased on 20 percent, of oil – on 100 percent, of condensate – on 82 percent, as she notes. As we should note, within the morning session of the conference the deputy director on science in the Institute of Oil and Gas Problems at RAS Vasiliy Bogoyavlenskiy acquainted the participants with the report about state of geological prospecting in Russia and Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, as the press-service of the governor informs.
