She plans to organize a work shop on making items of birch bark in Salekhard. Zinaida Longortova gave this information to a correspondent of IA "Sever-Press". According to her words, the community needs the work shop in the regional center in order to make and sell products. It is planned to set a little house of Khanty people. It can become an ethno-cultural and tourist complex, where it will be possible to purchase souvenirs. There are no problems with the material – birch bark. There is much of it in the district. And not so big amount is necessary for creation of souvenirs. Craftspeople mastered the whole technology. Now they can conduct master classes and lessons. Some pensioners from Salekhard will receive an opportunity of additional revenue. According to the words of Zinaida Longortova, many guests of the regional capital need to purchase souvenirs. A cylindrical birch-bark container with a tight-fitting lid with national ornament called "tuyesok" is very popular among tourists. In winter craftswomen of "Kushevat" elaborated the assortment of souvenirs that they could make. And thus, the work shop and extension of the sale market are necessary.
