Schoolchildren of Yamal learnt about heroism of defenders of the Brest Fortress

The schoolchildren of Yamal came back from the educational trip in the Republic of Belarus.

Winners and prizewinners of the regional contest of research works became its participants. The activity was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. During three days 10 young people of Yamal from several towns got acquainted to Minsk and Brest. They learnt about heroism of defenders of the Brest Fortress, the tragedy of Khatyn Village, operations on liberation of Belorussia from fascist invaders. Also the children visited the historic complex "The Stalin Line", where they saw specifics of soldier service before the war. The children visited the exposition of the new museum of the Great Patriotic War, where they learnt about guerilla movement and resistance of inhabitants of Minsk and Belarus against fascist invaders, as the press-service of the governor of Yamal informs.
