Senior officials of the Arctic Council invited Grigory Ledkov to London
Senior officials of the Arctic Council and representatives of the Permanent participants - organizations of indigenous peoples met in London and discussed all proposals and recommendations on the Strategic plan of the Arctic Council. According to the results, the recommendations will be focused on economic and social development, improvement of health and well-being of all the peoples of the Arctic.
The President of the Russian Association of Indigenous Peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East, a deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Grigory Ledkov and Vice-President of the Association Vladimir Klimov participated in the meeting of Senior officials of the Arctic Council, as the Association is its permanent participant. The heads of the Association received an official invitation from the Chairman of the Senior officials of the Arctic Council to this meeting, as the information center of RAIPON informs. As we should remind, Grigory Ledkov also participated in consultations with the permanent participants of the Arctic Council, which took place from the 18th to the 20th of January in the Norwegian city of Kautokeino, where suggestions for the Strategic plan of the Arctic Council were elaborated. From the 21st to the 24th of January the President of the Association participated in the conference “Arctic frontiers” in the Tromso, Norway.
