The business mission. The delegation from Saint Petersburg will visit Noviy Urengoy

The business mission to Noviy Urengoy from the 10th to the 14th of March is being organized for the first time by the operator Linist LLC on the order of the Saint Petersburg Committee for Arctic Affairs. The delegation will consist of representatives of companies from Saint Petersburg, interests of which include interregional cooperation in oil and gas industry.

The round table with participation of representatives of business and the authorities of the region, the exchange of business contacts and visits to leading enterprises of Noviy Urengoy will take place within the business mission. The delegation of Saint Petersburg will also participate in Yamal oil and gas forum and will visit the interregional specialized exhibition “Gas. Oil. New technologies - to the Far North”, as the organizers of the business travel inform the news agency “Sever-Press”.

The results of the official visit of the delegation of Saint Petersburg, as well as the results of bilateral meetings between representatives of business communities of Saint Petersburg and Yamal will be summed up on the 12th of March at the press conference in the Business Center “Yamal”.

Extending of cooperation with regions of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation and strengthening of industrial and economic potential through implementation of projects and programs on development of the Arctic play the priority role in development of Saint Petersburg. Today industrial sphere is the most developed in the city. Its products are intended for use in conditions of the Arctic: radio-electronics, instrument making industry, power engineering industry, petrochemical and oil-gas processing industry, electrical engineering, textile, automobile industry and many others. More than 40 scientific, research and design centers in Saint Petersburg are involved in development of technologies and equipment suitable for use in the Arctic.

The goals of organizing of the business mission of Saint Petersburg in Noviy Urengoy are the following: to strengthen cooperation between oil and gas companies, to exchange new technologies and scientific and practical knowledge, to present business and investment potential. In addition, one of the goals is to continue the interregional dialogue in accordance with the agreement on trade, economic, scientific, technical, social and cultural cooperation between Saint Petersburg and Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug of the 13th of December, 2006.
