The effect from “Yamal LNG”. The startup of the first stage of the plant influenced on indexes of NOVATEK

NOVATEK released its consolidated intermediate shortened financial reporting for three months of the current year.

Thus, in the first quarter the company’s revenue from sales made 179.4 milliard rubles (179 milliard and 400 million), and the normalized EBITDA index with consideration of a share of joint ventures - 76.3 milliard rubles (76 milliard and 300 million). It is more on 16 and 11.9%, respectively in comparison to the same period of last year. The growth in revenues and the normalized EBITDA index are mainly connected to start of LNG production on the first stage of the plant “Yamal LNG” at the end of last year and with increase in average sales prices for liquid hydrocarbons and natural gas, as the press center of NOVATEK reports. The startup of the first stage of the plant “Yamal LNG” and purchase of new production fields Beregovoye, the West Yaro-Yakhinskoye and Syskonsyninskoye significantly influenced on the company’s operational indexes in the first quarter of the year. As the result, the amount of natural gas extraction increased on 2.2% and liquid hydrocarbon extraction decreased slightly on 1%. The amount of natural gas sales made 20 milliard and 300 million cubic meters, having increased on 8.1% in comparison to the same period of last year, as a result of started deliveries of liquefied gas from “Yamal LNG” to international markets and growth in sales amounts in Russia. The company NOVATEK is one of the largest independent natural gas producers in Russia. The company is busy with exploration, extraction, processing and sale of gas and liquid hydrocarbons. Its extractive fields and license areas are located mainly in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
