The memory about participants of the Great Patriotic War will be perpetuated in settlements of Purovskiy district

Memorial complexes dedicated to participants of the Great Patriotic War will appear in settlements of Purovskiy district.

The project was accepted for fulfillment in the local branch of the party "Yedinaya Rossiya" by the initiative of the head of Purovskiy district Yevgeniy Skryabin.

This information is given on the official website of the party. At the present time there are not such monuments in a row of settlements. During the war years the future soldiers had to reach Salekhard during several weeks. From the regional capital they were sent to the war. In total more than 230 people were called to battlefronts from Purovskiy district. About 40 of them were inhabitants of national settlements and trading stations. Almost half of the number of all the soldiers from Purovskiy was killed on battlefronts. Names of those, who did not come back, and those, who came back home, but died during the post-war years, are memorialized in the monument "The warriors of Purovskiy" in the town Tarko-Salye. Installing of monuments in national settlements will allow perpetuating the memory about the participants of the Great Patriotic War on their small motherland for ever. As Yevgeniy Skryabin underlines, this is our duty. Inhabitants of settlements, especially young people, should know all the names of their countrymen – heroes, to know about their contribution to the Victory. It has big educational and moral significance. Search work on making the list of those, who had gone to battlefronts from settlements and trading stations, was conducted during several years. It was very important to find all the inhabitants of Purovskiy district, who had been called to the Red Army, and today this work is continued. Copies of all materials about the participants of the Great Patriotic War - award documents, military reports, certificates and other documents will be given to museums of boarding schools in order pupils will be able to use them in their search work in the future. It is noted in the local political council of "Yedinaya Rossiya". Now the administrations of national settlements together with veterans and the public define locations for placement of the monuments.
