“The New Year’s Tree of wishes”. A girl-student from Salekhard arrived in the Ilizarov center of Kurgan
A student of the first course of the medical department at Yamal multidisciplinary college Anna Salinder wished to visit the Russian Ilizarov Scientific Center for Restorative Traumatology and Orthopedics in Kurgan, to see a surgery on joints in real time and to receive a surgeon’s consultation on her own disease. Thanks to the project “The New Year’s Tree of wishes” her dream came true. On the 21st of January Anna arrived in Kurgan. She was welcomed by the head of the representational office of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug in Kurgan Oblast Yelena Rudovskaya and the chief federal inspector for Kurgan Oblast Artyom Pushkin. They conducted an excursion around the town for Anna and treated her to delicious tea.
As it is reported in the Ilizarov center, the clinic administration supported the all-Russian action: from the 22nd to the 24th of January the rich program was prepared for the guest from Yamal, including the excursion around the Ilizarov center, acquaintance with the clinic and the visit to the Museum of traumatology and orthopedics.
“The girl’s desire to attend an operation of replacement arthroplasty and reconstructive microsurgery of the upper limb with use of the electron microscope is being fulfilled on the 23rd of January. The next day Anna will pass through extended medical examination in the consultative and diagnostic department of the Ilizarov center in connection with her own disease: the girl has the congenital dislocation of the hip with severe pain syndrome. The consultation will be held by the head of the department of joint pathologies of children, doctor of medical sciences Mikhail Teplenkiy. After that the girl will be offered further treatment”, as it was informed in the Ilizarov center.
As we should remind, the New Year’s Tree with toys and postcards, on which wishes of children had been written, was set in the Kremlin. Ministers and governors could take them off the New Year’s Tree and embody wishes to life. Orphans, children from large families or being in difficult life situations, as well as children with disabilities shared their dreams. The governor of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Dmitry Artyukhov also took the toys from the New Year’s Tree of wishes. The first gift was for Andrey Voytikunov from Labytnangi. The head of the region gave the young blogger a tablet computer to mount videos easier. In spite of the cerebral palsy, the boy is busy with video editing. Dmitry Artyukhov gave the second gift - a three color kitten - to a girl Lisa from the remote village of Gyda of Tazovskiy district. Lisa is a special girl. In spite of the cerebral palsy, she enjoys life, writes poetry, study music. A dream of Inna Bashtovaya from Gubkinskiy was also fulfilled. She had a professional photo session. Inna is 77 years old. All her life she worked as an engineer of road construction, she knows the region, notices how it grows and becomes stronger. Being on pension, she enjoys traveling and extreme sports: floated on a raft down a mountain river, took an ice plunge in the Katun River, rode by quad bike and descended into caves. Inna’s cheerfulness and energy delight and inspire.
As we should note, the head of the region also participated in fulfillment of two more wishes. They were taken from the Tree by the Plenipotentiary envoy of the President of the Russian Federation in Ural Federal Okrug Nikolay Tsukanov. The following wishes came true: of a student Maksim Baravoy from Salekhard, he played billiards with the racing driver of Formula 1 Vitaliy Petrov, and of the first-year student of the medical department of Yamal multidisciplinary college Anna Salinder. The plenipotentiary envoy and the governor together fulfilled these wishes.
