The participants of the International Gas Union visited the enterprise "Gazprom dobycha Yamburg"

The sitting of the International Gas Union took place in Noviy Urengoy. The representatives of 17 countries discussed new technologies of development and exploration of fields, sustainable development of energy branch and exploitation cycles of gas deposits.

The deputy director general on prospective development of the company "Gazprom dobycha Yamburg" Vladimir Mironov greeted the participants of the meeting. As he says, their arrival to the "gas" North is recognized as a sign of interest in permanent and safe interaction with Gazprom and Russia. As the Secretary of the Working Committee 1 "Exploration and Production" Sugaya Marcos notes, Noviy Urengoy was chosen not occasionally to conduct the sitting of the International Gas Union. The specialists arrived to the Far North to study experience of work of Gazprom in the region. As he notes, in these extreme conditions objects of gas extraction have big resource of reliability, and this is very important for consumers of natural gas. Also he marks unique experience of Gazprom in preservation of traditional way of life of indigenous peoples of the North at development of the largest extractive fields. In the end of the visit the excursion around production objects of "Gazprom dobycha Yamburg" was conducted for the foreign guests. Earlier the participants of the International Gas Union visited Salekhard and met with the governor of Yamal Dmitriy Kobylkin. The International Gas Union is an association uniting representatives of the world gas industry. It was founded in 1931 to assist to development of gas industry in the world scale. The union includes more than 100 representatives from 71 countries of the world, on account of which there is 95 percent of extraction of natural gas in the world. Now there are 6 representatives of Gazprom in the governing bodies of the union.
