The plant “Yamal LNG” and new extractive fields helped NOVATEK to increase gas production

The amount of natural gas production of NOVATEK for the third quarter and 9 months of this year increased on 12.6% and 6.3%, respectively, while the amount of liquid hydrocarbons production decreased slightly on 0.3% and 0.4%. This information was given to the news agency “Sever-Press” in the press service of the company “NOVATEK”.

The launch of production at the first and second stages of the plant “Yamal LNG” at the end of last year and in July of this year and also acquisition of new production fields at the end of last year and in the first quarter of 2018 — Beregovoye, the West Yaro-Yakhinskoye and Syskonsyninskoye considerably influenced on operation indexes of the company.

The amount of natural gas sales in the third quarter and 9 months of this year made 15 milliard 600 million and 51 milliard cubic meters, having increased on 12.2% and 8.5% respectively in comparison to the same period of last year. It happened mainly due to sale of liquefied gas from “Yamal LNG” on international markets.

The company “NOVATEK” is one of the largest independent natural gas producers in Russia. In 2017 the company entered the international gas market in connection with the successful launch of the project “Yamal LNG”. Extractive fields and license areas of NOVATEK are located mainly in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
