The sky, the helicopter, the electoral commission. Priuralskiy district is voting

On the 11th of June Yamal continues the early voting on amendments to the Basic Law of the Russian Federation for residents of remote settlements. Helicopter routes were organized in several districts of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. Members of election commissions are trying to cover as many places as possible under favorable weather conditions.

A journalist of the news agency “Sever-Press” is reporting on the process from the voting place. The settlement Beloyarsk became the first helicopter landing point in Priuralskiy district. Here they took a guide, who would indicate location of nomadic camps, and also the members of the precinct election commission. Everything necessary for safe voting is on board. The members of the precinct election commission are thoroughly equipped - they wear gloves, masks and protective suits. The voters are given the opportunity to express their opinion without contact.

It is predicted that about 33 thousand residents of Yamal will participate in the early voting. The voting in this format will last until the 30th of June. Air, water and land transport is being used in order to reach northerners, who live in remote settlements.

64 precinct commissions will participate in the early voting. The contract for 556 flight hours was concluded with the company “Yamal airlines”.

As it should be reminded, receiving of applications from citizens, who will not be able to vote at the place of registration, is continued. They will be able to express their opinion on amendments to the Constitution at their place of stay.
