Tyumen Oil and Gas University and the Institute of the Earth Cryosphere will start the joint arctic project

Tyumen Oil and Gas University and the Institute of the Earth Cryosphere will start the joint project on exploration of the Arctic. The decision was taken by the academic council of the higher education institution.

According to the information given by academician of the RAS, professor of Tyumen Oil and Gas University Vladimir Melnikov, the project will include conferences, lectures of foreign specialists, practical trainings, in addition, the university will activate work of expeditions in Yamal. Tyumen State Oil and Gas University educates specialists on the Earth cryology, and they are ready to work in Yamal. Besides, the subarctic testing ground operates in the higher education institution during many years. No necessity to create something new, it needs to use everything available, as the rector of the university Vladimir Novosyolov declares. As he notes, the complex of 10 laboratories was created at the university. Students are busy with own researches there, as it is informed on the portal angi.ru.
