Yamal will present its treasures on the international exhibition in Moscow

The jubilee international exhibition-fair "Treasures of the North 2015" will take place in Moscow. This year it will last till the 26th of April. Beside Yamal, 24 regions and more than 400 delegates will participate in the activity this year. The Republics of Altai, Buryatia, Tyva, Khakasiya, Komi and also Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug and Chukotka will present their expositions.

The ethnic nomadic camp "National dwelling" will be set on the open platform. Yamal will present traditional dwelling of Nenets people – a choum. During 5 days craftsmen of bone-carving and wood-carving, craftswomen of embroidery with beads and making toys of fur will conduct master-classes for visitors of the exposition. Professional and amateur actors will work on the exposition of Yamal. Representatives of communities, families of reindeer herders and fishermen will tell about specifics of life of nomadic peoples to guests and inhabitants of Moscow. Information about state support of indigenous ethnic minorities of the North in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug will be presented by employees of the regional department on affairs of indigenous ethnic minorities of the North. As the press-service of the governor of Yamal informs, the contest programs will take place within the days of the exhibition-fair: "The best exposition", "The best piece of national art" on 8 nominations, "National dwelling", "Northern cuisine" and the photo-contest "Northern gaze".
