In Yamal in the district of the port of Sabetta it is possible to create the hub on production and offloading of liquefied natural gas with capacity up to 70 million tons per year.

This information was given by the director general of the company "Yamal LNG" Yevgeniy Kot within the conference "Yamal Oil and Gas 2015" in Salekhard. As he says, available resource base allows creating capacities on LNG production up to 70 million tons exactly in the district of the port of Sabetta. The acting governor of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Dmitriy Kobylkin told journalists that other kinds of cargoes, for example, products of metallurgical companies, would be transported through the port of Sabetta in the future. The branch road from the Northern Latitudinal Route to Sabetta will assist to it. The project of its creation was coordinated in the government of Russia. As we should remind, the project "Yamal LNG" foresees building of three lines of liquefying of natural gas on 5 million and 500 thousand tons each. They will be input to operation in 2017, 2018 and 2019. The total capacity of the plant will make 16 million and 500 thousand tons per year.
