The company "Gazprom dobycha Yamburg" is marking the thirtieth anniversary

"Gazprom dobycha Yamburg", the largest gas-extracting company in the country, is celebrating its 30th anniversary on the 1st of October.

30 years ago the deputy minister of gas industry, the head of the All-Union industrial association on gas extraction "Tyumengazprom" Viktor Chernomyrdin signed the order on creation of the enterprise "Yamburggazdobycha" (in 2008 it was renamed into "Gazprom dobycha Yamburg"). Over the years the company went the long way from the first peg hammered by pioneers in the frozen Yamburg tundra to the modern industrial giant. As it is noted by the director general of the enterprise Oleg Andreev, looking back, one realizes that the whole epoch remained behind. The epoch, in which there was the impressive Komsomol work in Yamburg, famous throughout the Soviet Union, and there were the first 10 years of the 21st century, when on the turning point of time gas of Zapolyarnoye field started serving to people. Veterans remember that the wonderful deposits were started from pathless mud and difficult housing conditions. They remember how assemblage of superblocks took place on GTU-2 of Yamburg (gas treatment unit). They remember difficult pre-startup days on GTU in Zapolyarnoye field. Probably, they will never forget the noise of the first gas filling technological devices, and that feeling of anxious joy, which fills the heart. It was difficult, but it worked - today Yamburg and Zapolyarnoye fields include 19 gas treatment units, and soon the 5-trillonth cubic meter of natural gas will be extracted. The prospect of the company is in development of seven shelf fields in the Ob-Taz region. The field Kamennomysskoye-Sea is the largest one in this group of fields by its gas reserves of Cenomanian deposit. It is the most ready field for development. Development projects are being made now on all other promising shelf and continental fields. According to assessments of experts, extractive fields of water areas of the Gulf of Ob and the Taz Estuary in the future will be an important source of replenishment of hydrocarbon reserves. Prospected reserves of these fields and adjoining coastal areas exceed 1 trillion and 500 milliard cubic meters. The company "Gazprom dobycha Yamburg" is a subsidiary of Gazprom. It works in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. Its main activity is extraction of gas and gas condensate. The company develops Yamburg and Zapolyarnoye fields, owns licenses to develop Tazovskoye, the South-Parusovoye and the North-Parusovoye fields. Preparation of gas to transport is fulfilled on 19 complex and preliminary gas treatment units. The fund of wells has more than two thousand gas and gas condensate wells. Production capacities allow extracting about 200 milliard cubic meters of gas and more than five million tons of gas condensate per year. About 11 thousand people work in "Gazprom dobycha Yamburg", as the service on public relations and relations with mass media of the company informs.
