The installation of the airport of Noviy Urengoy was presented at the national exhibition

On the 6th of February the VI national exhibition of civil aviation infrastructure NAIS 2019 was opened in Moscow. The airport of Noviy Urengoy, being part of the holding “Airports of Regions”, is participating in it.

The stand of the holding, being located on the platform of the Moscow exhibition center Crocus Expo, is presenting the architectural model of the passenger terminal of the main air gate of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and the interactive presentation. The installation allows visitors to assess the architectural appearance of the new airport of the gas capital and to learn about the main technical features of the project, as the press service of the airport informs.

The NAIS exhibition is a recognized event of the branch in Russia and the CIS dedicated to development of infrastructure of airports, airlines, helicopter centers and landing sites. Every year the NAIS exhibition and forum bring together specialists and top officials of airlines, authorities and business, suppliers of products, technologies and services.

As we should remind, the company “UrengoyAeroInvest” started operational management of the airport of Noviy Urengoy on the 7th of September, 2018. In parallel with the operational management, the holding “Airports of Regions” is developing project documentation for construction of the new passenger terminal and reconstruction of the airdrome. The new passenger terminal of the airport of Noviy Urengoy with the area more than 15 thousand square meters will be equipped with three telescopic ladders and 12 check-in counters at the first stage. Its capacity will make 840 passengers per hour and 1 million 450 thousand passengers per year. The master plan for development of the airport provides an opportunity in the future to increase the area of the terminal and to create a sector for servicing of international flights. On the forecourt in front of the new terminal it is planned to arrange short-term and long-term parking areas with the capacity of 150 cars each. All operations on construction and reconstruction of the objects will be fulfilled without stopping of the airport’s operating activities. At the end of 2018 the passenger traffic of the airport of Noviy Urengoy exceeded 972 thousand and 600 people.
