The sportswoman – the chess player from Salekhard Alexandra Goryachkina won the silver medal on the tournament Moscow Open

The sportswoman from Yamal Alexandra Goryachkina became the silver prizewinner of the international tournament Moscow Open and won the right to present Russia on the World Championship on chess among women in Sochi.

According to the information given to a correspondent of IA "Sever-Press" by Alexander Potapov, the director of the Polar chess school of Anatoly Karpov, 136 chess players competed for the victory in the traditional 11th international stage of the Cup of Russia among women. Alexandra Goryachkina was behind the winner from China Lei Tingjie on one point and took the second place. In total she received 7 points of 9 possible. Alexandra Goryachkina is a pupil of the Polar chess school of Anatoly Karpov, the repeated champion of the world, Europe and Russia among boys and girls. At the age of 13 years old she became the youngest woman – grandmaster in the world. In 2013 Alexandra won the title of the world champion among junior sportswomen up to 20 years old and won the Cup of Russia among women.
