Yamal is among the leaders. “Petersburg policy” considered all important events of this February

Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug with the result 8.4 points became the leader among regions with maximum stability. The February rating was published by the Foundation “Petersburg Policy”.

The experts positively marked signing of the Memorandum of understanding between the company “NOVATEK” and the national Saudi Arabian Oil Company “Saudi Aramco”, which establishes agreements of the sides on development of international cooperation and joint investments in gas industry. Among the positive events there are the following: the decree of the government of the Russian Federation on the start of the concession procedure for construction of the Northern Latitudinal Railway, discussion by the governor Dmitry Kobylkin and the head of the State transport leasing company Sergey Khramagin of issues of modernization of the Yamal river fleet, signing by Dmitry Kobylkin and the Chairman of the Board of the company “Gazprom Neft” Alexander Dyukov of the agreement on gas supply of the settlement Novy Port in Yamalskiy district. In addition, the experts mark signing by the company “Sovcomflot” of the agreement with Sberbank (the Saving Bank) on project financing in the amount of 106 million dollars for construction of the tanker, which will transport oil from Novoportovskoye field, allocation of one milliard rubles from budgets of the regions for purchase of housing in Tyumen Oblast for residents of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug under the program “Cooperation” in 2018. The rating of the Foundation “Petersburg Policy” has been published since autumn of 2012 on monthly basis. It assesses the level of social and political stability in all regions of the Russian Federation. The level of stability is determined by the experts on the 10-point scale, where 10 are the maximum, 1 is the minimum. Within the rating the regions are divided into 5 categories by the degree of socio-political stability and classified within their category according to dynamics of the rating for the last month.
